Join us this spring break to explore the world of dance! In these four day camps, we will learn about dance history, uplift one another, practice fundamental movements, celebrate our differences and create a dance to share at the end! All camps are from Tuesday March 26th, 2024 to Friday, March 29th, 2024 and take place in the Woodcroft Community Hall (13915-115 Avenue). All classes will have a performance during the last 15 minutes of class on Friday March 29th except for caretaker and tot ballet.

Caretaker and Tot Ballet (1.5 - 3 years):

This class is designed for tots ages 1.5 to 3 years old and their caretaker(s) to assist in this creative and immersive experience. There will be games, sing alongs, and creative activities all centred around the magical world of ballet. Children are encouraged to dress however they would like; their favourite costume, outfit, or whatever feels comfortable for them that day. Bare feet or ballet shoes are recommended.

Time: 10:00 am - 10:30 am

Cost: $43/per child - or $12 per class with community league membership; non-members $48 per child or $13 per class

Frozen Ballet (4-7 years):

Join us this spring break to explore the enchanting world of ballet - frozen style! We will be listening and dancing to the magical soundtrack of Frozen while learning ballet fundamentals. We will twirl, pose, and play! On Friday the 29th at 11:05am we will do a showcase for family and friends to come and see what we learnt and worked on! Dancers are encouraged to dress however they would like; their favourite costume, outfit, or whatever feels comfortable for them that day. Bare feet or ballet shoes are recommended.

Time: 10:40 am - 11:20 am

Cost: $48/per child - or $14 per class with community league membership; non-members $53 per child or $15 per class

Jazz (4-7 years):

Join us this spring break to experience the soulful world of Jazz dance! In this 4 day camp we will learn about where jazz came from, celebrate our differences, practice fundamental movements, and create a dance to share at the end of the camp! On the last day Friday, March 29th at 12:15pm, we will have a showcase for friends and family to come and see what we learnt. Dancers are encouraged to dress however they would like; their favourite costume, outfit, or whatever feels comfortable for them that day. Bare feet or running shoes are recommended.

Time: 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Cost: $53/per child - or $15 per class with community league membership; non-members $56 or $16 per class

Ballet / Jazz (8-13 years):

Join Aaliyah, a professional dancer and teacher this spring break to experience the vibrant worlds of ballet and jazz! In this 4 day camp we will learn some ballet and jazz dance history, uplift one another, practice fundamental movements from both styles, and create a dance to share at the end! On the last day Friday, March 29th at 1:15pm, we will have a showcase for friends and family to come and watch what we learnt. Dancers are encouraged to dress however they would like; their favourite outfit that they can move in, or whatever feels comfortable for them that day. Bare feet, ballet shoes, or running shoes are recommended.

Time: 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Hip Hop (7-13 years):

Join Aaliyah, a professional dancer and teacher this spring break to learn about Hip Hop. In this 4 day camp we will learn about hip hop history, and culture. We will celebrate our differences and uplift one another as we find more confidence in who we are! We will learn some hip hop fundamentals and have a routine to share at the end of the camp. On the last day Friday, March 29th at 2:05PM, we will have a showcase for friends and family to come and see what we leant. Dancers are encouraged to dress however they are comfortable, indoor running shoes are recommended.

Time: 1:40 pm - 2:20 pm
