SIDEWALK SAFETY

With winter quickly approaching, we want to remind residents that Edmonton’s
snowfall and freeze/thaw cycles can result in very hazardous conditions in
walkways and on sidewalks. These conditions are a safety concern for everyone
– particularly for those with limited mobility and service providers. Keeping
sidewalks free of snow and ice is important in keeping Edmontonians moving
safely. Failure to maintain your sidewalks could result in a $100 fine plus
potentially any cleanup costs. Come and pick up free sand at the hall - just bring
your bucket! Crosswalk Safety: Please watch for pedestrians crossing roads
during these dark winter days. We strive for an active community; safety helps to
get people out and about!
