COMMUNITY SAFETY

 

Some of our neighborhood teens have experienced concerning incidents of being followed while walking through the neighborhood.

 

The police have provided the following recommendations to all neighbors when walking at night...

 

1. If you have a phone, keep it out, within reach and in sight

 

2. Travel in pairs

 

3. Don’t wear headphones

 

4. Don’t walk down alleys alone

 

5. Identify houses in your neighborhood that are safe places for you to go to if you are ever in trouble.*

 

6. Call 911 anytime you are worried or scared about someone following you or if you feel unsafe for any other reason.
